Current accessibility status

Based on the current state of the art and with reasonable effort, this website is not fully accessible. Implementation is being carried out step by step based on the requirements of BITV 2.0 and WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA.
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

  • Alternative text
    • Images and graphical controls without clear or complete alt text
    • Alt and title attributes with identical content instead of supplementary information
  • Text and layout adjustments
    • Text within images is often too small on mobile and cannot be scaled via zoom
    • Inconsistent heading hierarchy
    • Headings, tables, and lists are sometimes not marked up semantically correctly
    • Link colors need higher contrast and better visibility
    • Labels: Some form input fields or buttons do not have clearly assignable labels or ARIA descriptions.
  • Videos
    • Some of our embedded videos do not have captions displayed by default. However, these can be enabled via the caption function on the respective platforms, such as YouTube.

Planned measures

The following requirements are currently being implemented:

  • Adding and reviewing all alt text for images
  • Optimizing keyboard navigation, including focus indicators
  • Adjusting color contrasts according to WCAG 2.1 Level AA

For reasons of economic reasonableness, we are unable to resolve some barriers on our website, or not in the short term. These include:

Older content created before 2020 is not fully accessible. Retroactively adapting this content would require disproportionately high effort.
This primarily concerns our product videos. Future content will be created in accordance with current standards.
